Three days on Lake Saimaa
We rented a wooden cabin near Puumala and spent most of the time on the water. Ringed seals are rare here, and we did not see one, but the ferry captain showed us where they rest in spring.
Lofoten in late August
The midnight sun is gone by late August, and so are most of the crowds. Buses between Svolvær and Å run four times a day, which is enough if you plan around them.
